The story began here with this handmade log cabin on 3 acres
We purchased an additional 140 acres in 1980 and began renting campsites in our beautiful park-like Cathedral Sugar bush. Our dream was to teach survival skills .It wasn't long before we had folks sleeping in our cabin and we ended up on the floor by the fireplace.
Finally the dream began to unfold......

We begin to build the Greenhope Farmhouse
Inn by sawing our own lumber with the help of friends in the community

Neighbors and friends helped push the walls up and into place. There are no pictures of the actual pushing because all hands were needed on deck!
Roof is almost on. June 1984
Final exterior cedar shakes going on. We broke ground for the house on May 3rd and our first B&B full house was scheduled for the fourth of July. We had to really jam!

brought Sallie & 10 animals to relocate to Maine.

A new farm purchased in Brooks Maine became the temporary Greenhope
